Founded by Kasumasa Okumura in Kyoto in 1997, the DEPS brand mainly targets one type of angler: the “specimen hunter.” By “specimen,” however, Deps means a hard-to-catch fish, not necessarily the largest.
That's why every product, no matter how innovative, is tested for hundreds of hours before being released to the market. A true Japanese fishing philosophy that has led to the creation of lure gems like the Slide Swimmer, Sakamata Shad, and the Bull Shooter series, as well as excellent rods like the Sidewinder range.
